About The Film

Donny (DEREK HOUGH) stops when he notices Aya (BoA) playing on stage with her hip-hop Cobu gang at Static, the biggest underground club in New York. The music is blaring and the dance floor is in motion. Despite coming from two distinct worlds, they communicate with one other via dancing. In spite of all the difficulties, they band together and prove their worth to the world.

After doing time for small-time crimes, DONNY (DEREK HOUGH), who is tap dancing on the street for spare coin, realizes he needs to change. He understands that leaving New Orleans and moving to New York, where his older "brother from another mother," NICK (WESLEY JONATHAN), operates Static, one of the sexiest underground clubs, is his only route out of danger.

Static, which was once owned and operated by Nick and KAZ (WILL YUN LEE), is brought to life at night by international performers and dancers. The entire dynamic shifts when Kaz splits from Nick and launches a competing club called Oto, which is financed by MICHAEL (JEFFERSON BROWN), a seedy Wall Street entrepreneur who is infatuated with his sister AYA (BoA), a performer at Static. In exchange for an exclusive deal to play for the new club, Michael pledges to assist Aya in obtaining a visa to remain in the nation. Aya rejects him and makes her own decisions.

Now that Aya and her group are rivals, Nick and Kaz need a venue. She returns to Static and enters the stage covertly, captivating Donny with her act. After the show, they join her and dance together as if they've done it forever—that is, until their brothers get in the way.

It doesn't take long for Donny and Aya to discover their love for one another while dancing. Now, Aya and Donny have to decide between each other, their passion of dancing, and their relationships with their families. They have to take action.
